The Challenge
A Singapore-based financial services group was relocating its regional headquarters to a newly fitted-out 15-floor tower in the CBD. The incoming telecommunications infrastructure was to be built from the ground up — with the requirement that it support 10Gbps workstation connectivity (in anticipation of trading platform expansion), comply with TIA-568-C.2 standards, and carry a manufacturer's extended warranty for the lifetime of the building lease.
The project carried a hard completion deadline: the fit-out contractor's programme had 22 weeks for the entire building, and the structured cabling had to be complete and certified before the low-voltage and AV contractors could complete their work. Any delay would cascade into the overall handover date.

The Solution
Cat6A Horizontal Infrastructure
3,200 × Panduit Cat6A UTP data points were installed across 15 floors — 2 data outlets per workstation position, accommodating network + IP telephony. All cable runs were dressed in ladder trays and conduit in accordance with TIA-568-C.2 separation requirements, with segregation from electrical wiring maintained at all crossings. All horizontal runs were limited to 90m maximum channel length.
OM4 Fibre Backbone
A 24-strand OM4 multimode fibre backbone was installed between the main distribution frame (MDF) on the ground floor and intermediate distribution frames (IDF) on every second floor — supporting 40G/100G uplink capacity between network tiers and providing the headroom for future 400G expansion without recabling.
Fluke DSX Certification — 100% Points
Every one of the 3,200 data points was individually tested and certified using Fluke DSX-600 cable analysers to TIA Cat6A channel and permanent link specifications. Certification reports for all 3,200 points were delivered to the client in digital format as part of the handover documentation — a requirement from the client's insurance underwriter.
25-Year Panduit System Warranty
As a certified Panduit installer, Biztech Group registered the installation under Panduit's 25-year Extended Warranty programme — covering both performance and applications. The warranty covers any cabling performance deficiency that prevents the system from supporting standard network applications at the rated specification for 25 years from installation completion.
Delivery Against Programme
The 15-floor installation was completed in 14 weeks — 2 weeks ahead of the 16-week allocation within the main programme. The Fluke DSX certification sweep was completed in parallel with the final 3 floors of installation, enabling handover documentation to be delivered to the client on the same day as installation completion.
The low-voltage and AV contractors were able to commence their follow-on works on schedule. The building was handed over to the client 3 days ahead of the contractual completion date.
